(hi. does anyone remember me. this week my blog domain expired and there was about a 32 hour window where itsfineimfine.com was down and millions of people were up in arms about it so i’m back now and my millions i mean one person tweeted me ok)
LET’S TALK ABOUT IRONY AND MY CHILDHOOD.
When I was just a wee sassy, I loved the video camera. I would prop it on a dresser and film myself talking about God knows what idk (#takingselfiesfromdayone). My friends and I would pretend we were news anchors and report new to the camera. So there is all this ignorant footage of me filming myself somewhere in New Mexico and yet I HAVE NEVER SEEN BABY FOOTAGE OF ME FROM MY PARENTS, IT’S FINE.
To go along with my camera obsession, I would tell my mom and teachers that I wanted to be a movie producer or director when I grow up, not that I even knew what that meant.
YET SOMEWHERE ALONG MY MOVIE PRODUCING ASPIRATIONS, I FAILED TO WATCH ACTUAL MOVIES. Like. What happened when I was growing up. WHAT WAS I DOING AGES 5-18??? NOT WATCHING THE SHINING, CLEARLY. I blame 90s-Britney Spears and Real World and TRL. I blame MSN Messenger and whatever else I spent precious time doing that SHOULD HAVE BEEN SPENT WATCHING SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, WHICH IS APPARENTLY ALWAYS ON THE CABLE.
So my coworkers created this document many many months ago and I’m still working on the list:
So far I have seen:
- the shawshank redemption
- life is beautiful
- garden state
- eternal sunshine
- silence of the lambs
- pulp fiction
- Jurassic park
- Annie Hall
- good fellas
- princess bride
- the big lebowski
- Almost Famous
- In Bruges
- butch cassidy and the sundance kid
- the royal tenenbaums
- moonrise kingdom
In a perfect world, I would blog my thoughts/feelings on each movie, so stay tuned maybe.
