What Lane came home to after picking us up chipotle last night. MORE IN THE STORIES. #WHOLE23WASFINEEVERYTHING IS WHAT YOU EAT. Food affects how you feel, your sleep, your mood, and your energy, which affects how you love and care for others, and all your relationships. Food affects your discipline, your focus, creativity, and (again) energy, which affects your work. You are not taking anything in your life seriously if you’re not feeding yourself correctly. I truly believe that. I’m incredibly lucky my mom raised me with healthy foods and no soda in the house (hashtag Mother’s Day almost here) and eating healthy during this #whole30 trip has been easy for me—it’s saying no to the less healthy foods that’s hardest. I half-ass skimmed an IG caption the other day that basically said SAVOR more of every moment instead of impatiently waiting for the next thing to start. Savor how things look, smell, feel, taste, sound. SAVOR cooking, the sound and smell of chopping, instead of rushing to eat, then rushing through eating to go somewhere, rushing the drive, etc. Basically savor the season of life your in. It sounds very cliche but for whatever reason, despite 3-second, half-ass skimming, the stupid caption stuck with me the past few days. And it’s funny how it stuck with me??? Is it possible everything you “barely” notice/read/hear influences you or affect you to some degree? Even without you noticing? Food and everything you “feed” your brain / consume has so much impact on you daily as a person. I think. These are my Sunday thots. 19 days into whole30, can’t believe I’m a life coach now. Also this is a v big filling lunch bc I only had a Lara bar for breakfast.
